Fresh Faces Friday: The Fresh Committee Introduces SIN

This week’s featured emcee SIN is one of those rare acts that actually speak truth to power on the mic.

The Broward County, Florida native claimed in late 2019 that his forthcoming LP Private Flight would be his best body of work to date. Lo and behold, he followed through and dropped his magnum opus back in October, which caught our ear – not an easy feat.

Released under his own imprint SoundsGoodFeelsBetter, which is distributed by Miami, FL based record label and management company Valholla. His album had eight cuts, which showcased a nice variety of samples and different flavors on each track.

SIN went on to follow this up with a two track EP this summer, aptly titled Short Ride Home. Which touched on a few pertinent topics:

And now that we all wear masks on our face/
I can’t tell who gon’ end up last in my race/
Double shot of Johnnie, ash in a vase/
My flowers don’t bloom no more/
The fire place looks lovely/
And we ain’t talkin’ bout money/
If we go to war then we walking out bloody/
The soundtrack to my life is not Cudi/
The pathway to my light is not sunny/
Oh, you know I know you like I know you know yourself/
So looking in the mirror for an hour won’t help/

SIN’s style sounds most like a young Tim Dog mixed with some Brand Nubian and KRS-One, while adding a personal style that is hard to categorize on paper. Only thing left to follow for SIN is the notoriety.
