Fresh Faces Friday: PKC x Chill Daniel

All May we're featuring the best up and coming international hip-hop artists on the planet every single week.

Fresh Faces Friday: PKC

Much like in the US, Spanish hip-hop originally emerged from the working class barrios (neighborhoods) with a socially conscious message.

Today, it incorporates influences from flamenco, rumba, Latin samples, and English spoken word. Our featured duo Paniko en Las Calles x Chill Daniel are a lyrical monster and producer extraordinaire.

While low-key and not proclaiming to be the best to ever do it from Vigo and Logrono respectively, they do let their music speak for itself. Their first project 2018’s 93 ‘Til Infinity is an ode to hip-hop in its original essence – break beats, attention grabbing wordplay and smooth delivery.

Some highlights include The Old Raiders Cap which sees our emcees go on a swagged out adventure around town and the well grounded production by Chill Daniel heard throughout which is both melodic and a compliment to Paniko’s flows.

You have to understand, out of every 50 plus artists we hear, less than a handful will manage to stand out and impress. So finding a top quality tape (in any language) is always welcome.

With the right guidance and a little more consistency dropping quality material to feed the streets, there’s lots of potential here for success beyond their local barrios.
