Fresh Faces Friday: The Fresh Committee Introduces B.A Badd

Fresh Faces FridayThis week we’re back home and shining the spotlight on one bad ass emcee from Syracuse, New York – B.A Badd

B.A – real name Erik Williams, first started penning rhymes at just 12 years old and really got serious in the late 90’s amidst the shiny suit era. But before things could really start bubbling, he went upstate to do a 4 year bid for fire arms possession.

Maintaining a consistent love for the art form throughout it all and packing a new found maturity, B.A has become the voice of the voiceless telling true to life stories from the NY streets that raised him.

Now residing in Buffalo with a steady stream of project releases since 2018, including his latest Really HIM. Badd is taking full advantage of the opportunity he has:

Close circle a select team/

I perfect schemes and put plates on the table so we can get cheese/

I’m from a city where they drilling like a step team/

Catch you sleeping bus on you like a wet dream/

My sister died, I learned how to accept pain/

Cause in the field you take L’s like a Jets game/

Jealousy is what success bring/

So if you get ya shot, ya better let rock with ya best aim/

With a gritty delivery style, crafty wordplay, and commentary that straddles social lines and street poetry, B.A Badd is setting himself up for consideration as one of New York’s next rap heavyweights.
