Nike Uses React Tech To Create the Air Force 1 React D/MS/X

One of Nike’s most beloved sneakers, the Nike Air Force 1 gets an update with React cushioning technology to create the all-new Air Force 1 React D/MS/X. Nike’s latest offering from its D/MS/X line — a highly conceptual set of sneakers such as the Ghoswift and  Air Max 720 Waves — the shoe features the classic Air Force 1 shape but updates both the technology and stylistic details.

Over the course of 2020, we’re expecting to see several colorways. The initial version starts with a white with a black upper with red accents. The sneaker also features both stitched synthetic leather as well as mesh. Another design cue is the use of a low-hanging Swoosh that fits well into the aesthetic. Giving the shoe a nice touch. Lastly, the shoe features a layered heel portion and a black D/MS/X logo on the medial heel.

Oh, one more thing! The reason we’re even talking about this shoe is because of the all-new midsole inside. Thanks to a drop-in React midsole with a Ramp Air unit in the heel. This welcomed piece of concealed tech gets recognized on the midsole heel portion in the form of red plastic trim with React branding around its traditional Air graphic. While the latter swaps out its standard star texture for a recognizable noodled React pattern on the heel and toe.

The Nike Air Force 1 React D/MS/X will make its debut on the Nike website come January 17, with a still-to-be-determined retail price.
