Plyte’s artist development consultancy has partnered with PayDay LA and NogossipLA to launch its first artist development intensive, “Demo Day”. Plyte is now sending special invitations and accepting applications from artists to join their “D-Day” cohort. Artists that participate go through a coaching program to help build music business acumen and to accelerate their music careers. In February 2020, the intensive will end in the cohort’s epic performance with a surprise guest headlining artist. The cohort will also be invited to Austin, TX for Plyte’s collaborative SXSW event in March 2020.
Plyte’s cohorts consist of vetted and emerging talent recruited to join Plyte’s closed-community and participate in an artist development intensive. The intensive is designed to give selected artists the tools, resources and guidance needed to get traction in their careers. Not only do cohort artists get a network of leading music industry coaches to help build their team, but they also receive closed music placement, video content, promotion, and performance opportunities.
The D-Day cohort will be coached on items such as building a compelling and unique brand, digital marketing, communicating with press, performance etiquette and having an engaging set. The intensive ends in a grand performance in front of industry executives, brands, influencers, and potential fans. Artists participating in the D-Day cohort will receive a blog placement, a show slot during the D-Day performance powered by PayDay LA, and a career analysis. In addition, artists become members of Plyte’s closed-community, giving them access to a world class team to help them navigate their career growth.
