The Google Stadia is still releasing on November 19, but recent Reddit AMA sessions with Stadia developers have revealed that a number of advertised features won’t be available at launch.
For one, you won’t be able to play local co-op through Stadia games. In addition, you can start earning in-game achievements from the outset, but won’t get notifications about passing them until later in 2019. Other missing features include ‘Crowd Play’, gifting Stadia subscriptions, sharing save data between accounts, or compatibility with older Roku Ultra streaming devices on top of the fact that only 12 launch titles will be available.
Google must be feeling lucky because its launch offering is looking pretty underwhelming at the moment.
