Fresh Faces Friday: The Fresh Committee Introduces Fadetheblackk

This week’s MC hails from the birthplace of hip hop itself – The Bronx New York. Given the long list of greats to bless a mic from the borough like Melle Mel, KRS-One, and Big Pun to name but a few, Fadetheblackk has some mighty big steps to follow in.

Born Antonio Rosario, the New Yorker brings a distinct style that is more relaxed than hi-powered and more conscious than gritty with highly visual verbals making for a unique blend of hip hop and soul with a dash of alternative.

On his single “Visions” released on July 13th and distributed by Warner Music indie platform Level he starts off:

Mind Body and Spirit
Knowing that they fear it
Can’t be controlled but I’m hoping
That they hear this
Too many lost ones, can’t find their souls
Too many copycats, way to many clones
Too many blind people can’t find the clues
Too many smart phones that know your next move

One gets the feeling that the writer/engineer/rapper is more than an artist and more of a poet given the truth in his rhymes and the positivity in his message.

FTB is looking to continue his productive ways the rest of the year with two new singles planned as well as a project in the works with Latin artist Alla Alibaba before blessing us with some fresh visuals to start off the new year.
