For the 1500 model, New Balance went heavy on the branding color blocking. Starting with a pigskin, 3M and Cordura mesh upper in the colors black, blue, yellow with a hit of red found on the “ENCAP” embroidery. 3M outlines the “N” logo on both sides of the sneaker. While embroidered “1500” branding can be found on the lateral side of the toe box in black. You’ll also notice more embroidery on the tongue as well such as the Made In England heritage in addition to the “Five Point Flying” phrase found in white sits nicely on the blacked-out midsole.
The 577 model also gets a new toned-down colorway. It starts with a mostly black upper with hits of olive, blue and red. Also, it features the signature ENCAP sole unit, which gets hit with black, orange and grey. Once again we find 3M outlining its “N” emblems to give it some extra pop. Lastly, Cordura mesh sits on the tongue in addition to the NB-branded heel clip found on the rear.
