Blood Orange Releases His New Album “Angel’s Pulse”

There was no denying how good UK’s fast-rising star Dev Hynes, professionally known as Blood Orange’s 2018 offering Negro Swan was. Well, today Blood Orange — returns with his latest album. Full of lush soundscapes, Angel’s Pulse comes in at just the right time this summer. The sonics don’t carry over the same cold and often anxiety-filled sounds that Negro Swan did. On this album, Blood Orange tweaks his sound to reflect the vast possibilities he can achieve sonically. With support from the likes of Toro Y Moi, Tinashe, Kelsey Lu, Justine Sky, Project Pat, Arca, and more.

Hynes’ displays his expertly-mandated sound, while many of the tracks pull inspiration from “shoegaze” indie rock, as well as dancehall and other various inspirations from genres such as hip-hop and R&B. You can listen to Angel’s Pulse below. Blood Orange will also play at plenty of shows around the world this Summer, check out all the dates here. Lastly, for more music news, Drake reveals the 2019 OVO Fest Lineup.
