Bushwick Bill of the Geto Boys Dead at 52

R.I.P. Bushwick Bill

Founding member of the Houston rap trio the Geto Boys, Bushwick Bill has died at the age of 52 after a battle against stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

While there had previously been inaccurate reports that Bushwick Bill had passed away earlier in the week although that wasn’t the case.

Richard Shaw aka Bushwick Bill was born with dwarfism and originally went by Little Billy before linking up with the Geto Boys after serving as their dancer first. Teaming up with Willie D and Scarface changed the face of both southern hip hop and horror-core at the same time. Fans of the Geto Boys were recently disappointed when their reunion tour was canceled last minute after Bushwick Bill objected to the promotor calling the tour “The Beginning of a Long Goodbye: The Final Farewell”.

On Sunday, Bushwick Bill’s death was confirmed as he’s received tweets and messages from the Insane Clown Posse, Scarface and more. R.I.P. Bushwick Bill.
