The ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ Trailer Continues Right After Avengers: Endgame
Warning: If you haven’t seen Avengers: Endgame stop playing yourself and go watch it. This post contains mild spoilers. You’ve been warned.
Avengers: Endgame is breaking records like crazy, and it’s on pace to be the top-grossing moving of all time. With that Marvel Studios can finally start promoting what will, in fact, be the final film of Phase Three in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In this new trailer, we find Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and the villain Mysterio (played by Jake Gyllenhaal) teaming up against the Elementals, who are a group of villains comprised of Hydron (Lord of Waters), Magnum (Master of the Earth), Hellfire (Wielder of Flame) and Zephyr (Mistress of The Winds) who reek havoc during Peter’s high school trip to Europe.
With the emotional ending to Avengers: Endgame, the Homecoming sequel will really have to fill the void as the final piece of the Third Phase. When you watch the trailer you’ll get a better idea of whats happened post-Endgame. Sony President Amy Pascal also confirmed that Spider-Man Far From Home will take place “a few minutes” of Avengers: Endgame. So it’ll be interesting to see how people in the film deal with Tony Stark’s passing. And what exactly happened to Peter Parker’s friends during the snap. As well as why they’re still in high school even though five years have passed.
Far From Home hits theaters July 2, 2019, and stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, J.B. Smoove, and Jake Gyllenhaal. The film will also be specially formatted for IMAX theaters.
