Pininfarina’s Battista Is A Fully-Electric Hyper-EV That Has 1900 Horsepower.

Pininfarina’s crazy fast hyper-EV, the Battista, showed its face officially for the first time to the public for the Goodwood Members’ Meeting, so the good people at, Top Gear took it upon themselves to provide a review of the hypercar. In the review, you’ll find Rory Reid covering all the technical specifications of the Battista as well as the design, exterior, and interior of the car.

The Battista throws around some seriously crazy numbers. For starters, it boasts 1900 horsepower, 1,696 pound-feet of torque, with zero emissions…period. The car goes from 0-60 mph in just two seconds. That’s faster than F1 cars, and it has a maximum speed of 217 mph.

“To say this thing is slightly deranged might be a little bit of an understatement,” Reid says of the Battista, which wields 1900 horsepower, 1,696 pound-feet of torque, and no emissions at all. The car is capable of going 0-60 mph in two seconds, faster than F1 cars, with a maximum speed of 217 mph. “This is a road car with almost twice the power of a Formula 1 racing car, more than three times the torque of a McLaren F1, and the same environmental footprint of a Nissan Leaf… You just don’t see those kinds of numbers on a normal road car, and there’s a reason for that  —  they’re just not possible using an internal combustion engine.” – Rory Reid

Rory also informs us that the Battista is powered by four independent motors — one by each wheel — and the six-point braking system. We also get a look at the design, interior, and aerodynamics of the Battista “Design is what Pininfarina is most famous for. The company made its name styling some of the most iconic cars on the planet” Reid states. “Pininfarina has kept the finest piece of design for themselves though. I can almost see little bits of Ferarri influence towards the front, maybe a touch of McLaren 720S in this teardrop roof section, and I can almost see a little bit of BMW i8 here going on towards the rear.”
