Lil Mosey Drops His First Major Label LP “Northsbest”
Interscope’s latest signing, 16 year-old Lil Mosey releases his major label debut “Northsbest” and seems to have come out of nowhere. Hailing from the beautiful city of Seattle Washington, he first gained momentum by dropping “Pull Up” earlier this year.
Coming in at about 28 minutes of straight heat, Lil Mosey truly creates a vibe. From the beginning of this project, Lil Mosey oozes confidence and self-assurance on an array of spacey trap beats. While his usual themes are flexing and drug use, there is a distinct originality from this guy. Kamikaze, produced by Royce David, samples Immature’s “Never Lie” and don’t be surprised if you rock your head off your shoulders.
“Bitches changed and acted like I aint noticed, Getting money, n*gga thats my main focus, With 2-2-3 and you act like you don’t know this”
While Mosey handles most of the heavy lifting, he does enlist Blockboy JB later in “Yoppa” and their chemistry is immensely high. Other standouts from this cut are “Noticed”, “Burberry Headband” and “Fu S**t”. You can definitely ride around the city making plays while blasting this and feel like nothing can go wrong. It’s still early in his career but I have a good feeling that this kid is headed to the rap stratosphere in no time.
