NTS Radio – Remembering 30 Years Of Studio Ghibli’s Soundtracks

NTS Radio is celebrating 30 years of Studio Ghibli soundtracks with a three-part show. The second part of the show airs today, March 10 from 2-3 p.m. GMT. The episodes are put together by NTS Radio’s Sega Bodega. The first episode is roughly an hour-long and covers the music from 1986 to 1992, such as classics like Hayao Miyazaki‘s My Neighbor Totoro and Isao Takahata’s Grave of the Fireflies. Joe Hisaishi is the composer for most of Miyazaki’s work. Listen to the first episode here.

In other amazing news, Miyazaki recently stepped out of retirement to helm a CGI short called Boro the Caterpillar.  It’s so good when the legends come back! You can listen to Episode 1 below and enjoy these classics.
