In a recent interview with Billboard Magazine, rapper/producer Travi$ Scott shed some light on the inspiration behind naming his next album “Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight”. Soon after releasing his commercial debut “Rodeo” last Fall, Travi$ has been an incredibly busy man. He dropped three new singles within the first month of 2016: “Wonderful” with The Weeknd, “Whole Lotta Lovin'” with DJ Mustard and a solo effort called “A-Team”. If the quality of those three tracks are any sign of what’s to come from Scott, then we all have a reason to be excited.
When asked about what compelled him to name his next album “Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight” La Flame responded, “My next album is basically about all my friends and growing up here in Missouri City [Texas]. I’m not saying that it’s a trap — we not in the fucking projects but it’s like a social trap. It’s a social connection trap from what you want to do and how you want to express yourself. I feel like everyone just gets constricted by their parents or just, life.”
Be on the lookout for new Travi$ Scott material (hopefully coming very soon) and peep his sophomore album’s artwork below!
