Big K.R.I.T over the years has always proven his worth in the music scene. He may not always be on the lips of hip hop fans but when it’s his turn to release music, we all stop to pay attention. At the end of 2018, K.R.I.T released a few singles which eventually became the compilation project TDT. Today the Mississippi native returns with an all-new album to heat up the summer.

K.R.I.T Was Here is one of K.R.I.T’s most critically acclaimed and beloved mixtapes. This time K.R.I.T is here to show the world that he has in fact arrived. The rapper took to his Instagram to announce the release date and the name of the new project. The new album entitled K.R.I.T. Iz Here drops on July 12.

“Aye ya’ll, it’s been 9 years since I released “K.R.I.T. WUZ HERE,” and I got one thing to say, K.R.I.T. IZ HERE! Studio album dropping July 12. It’s time!”

K.R.I.T. Iz Here is the official follow-up to 2017’s 4eva Is A Mighty Long Time. The dual-disc effort from Big K.R.I.T featured fantastic records with artists such as LloydT.I., CeeLo Green, Jill Scott, Sleepy Brown, Bilal, Robert Glasper, Joi, Keyon Harrold, Kenneth Whalum, and Burness Earl Travis II.

Hopefully, we’ll get a new single from the forthcoming project. Make sure you listen K.R.I.T’s new album K.R.I.T. Iz Here when it drops on July 12.
