Nike’s City Pride Pack Pays Tribute To Chicago and Toronto Baseball Teams.
As things start to heat up and the warmer months approach. Nike continues to put out some of their most iconic sneakers. Today the sportswear giant add Toronto and Chicago styles to the City Pride lineup. The new sneakers feature a baseball theme, using colors inspired by the MLB Toronto Bluejays and the Chicago Cubs.
Nike’s Blazer Mid ’77 gets hit with a cream-colored upper and black and red swoosh logos that pay tribute to throwback Chicago Cubs uniforms. That paired with Baseball-style stitching on the tongue and a hint of green to round off the design of the shoe for a real vintage look.
Meanwhile, The Nike Air Force 1 gets a soft blue color reminiscent of Bluejays colors. That paired with a cream-colored swoosh and midsole give the shoe a really smooth look color wise. They also add some contrast with a green sock liner, a color similar to what you’d find under baseball hats. Lastly, Nike adds red stitching on the tongue to finish off the look.
The City Pride pack drops on May 3. You can purchase the Toronto-inspired Air Force 1 for a cool $130 USD. While the Chicago Blazer will retail for $110 USD.
