Mick Jenkins Heads To Jamaica For the Official  “Consensual Seduction” Video.

Mick Jenkins just released another video off his sophomore album Pieces of a Man — which dropped last fall — for a new visual in support of LP’s Corinne Bailey Rae-assisted standout “Consensual Seduction.” The video was directed by Mahaneela and was filmed in Portland, Jamaica.

Jenkins describes “Consensual Seduction” as his own response to the #MeToo movement. “We’re talking about [things] concerning stress factors, we’re talking about a young man who may not be reflective and handling his emotions in the proper ways and these are things that stereotypically people feel men suffer from on a regular basis and things that personally I’ve had to address in my own way,” the Chicago lyricist previously told Viper.

“There’s a lot of confusion in consent. Personally, I hold an opinion that I think it’s unreasonable for men to be so confused about consent. But when I listen to some of the stories about how it can be confusing for some of my homies, I begin to understand a little bit more about where it can come from,” Jenkins told QWEST TV. “Even though I feel like it’s largely pretty obvious! So, I decided to make a song about it. While it is sometimes confusing, there are some things that just rely on a person’s integrity.”
