Tierra Whack’s “Whack World” was 2018’s Most Creative Project

Tierra Whack’s Whack World is Ingenious.

Do you have a quarter of an hour to spare? You do? Great! Tierra Whack’s Whack World is fifteen songs long and each song is one-minute long. All in all, her album has a run-time of fifteen hot minutes.

In those fifteen minutes, Whack delivers an array of fire songs that either have her spitting some of the cleverest bars out or singing melodies that go toe-to-toe with the best of them. In the ever changing climate of music, Whack’s ideas are outright genius. Although the songs are a minute long each, these may be some of the best minutes of your day.

On top of releasing one of the dopest and most creative projects of the year, it is the visuals paired with the album that steal the show. Visiting multiple themes that coincide with the subject matter of each song in a Whacky way (pun intended), they’re all intriguing enough to keep even the most impatient person entertained.

It’s hard to describe the feeling I felt the first time I watched the video, but it was somewhere in-between joviality and astonishment. Her album is whole by itself, but the video complements it in a way I did not know was fathomable.

It’s come to my attention that Tierra Whack’s “Mumbo Jumbo” video from 2017 was recently Grammy nominated alongside Jay-Z and Beyonce’s (The Carters) “Ape Shit”, Joyner Lucas’ “I’m not a Racist” among others for Best Music Video. Without further ado, check out her amazing video and album in one swoop below and add her to the list of breakout stars in 2019.
