Nike Pulls From Tinker Hatfields Archives For a New Air Jordan 8.
When it comes to athletic footwear, Tinker Hatfield name sits at the very top. The creative mastermind responsible for iconic silhouettes such as the Air Jordan 11, Air Trainer 1, and Air Max 1 has shown us that creativity and great design go a long way. In 2018, Nike looks to Hatfield’s archives for inspiration on new colorways and designs. Such as the recently release Air Jordan 3 inspired by an early design sketch. As well as the Air Jordan 10 “Tinker” inspired by the colors of the Nike Huarache Light. Now we get a look at the latest shoe to get the “Tinker” treatment, the Air Jordan 8.
So for starters, the inspiration for this shoes colors come from the “Urban Jungle” Nike Air Raid 1 and 2 — early ’90s Nike Basketball classics with crisscrossing straps on the upper. The shoe features a combo of black nubuck and woven materials on the upper, while colorful ’90s-style patterns hit the tongue patch and plastic midfoot portions. You’ll also notice a green sockliner and small yellow detail on the outsole for an addition touch of color. Lastly, we find the words “Live Together” on the heel tab, which completes the shoe. Expect the Air Jordan 8 “Tinker” on December 22nd — just in time for Christmas. Lastly, for more footwear news, The Nike SB “Takashi” Make A Triumphant Return.
