Jay-Z Convinced Meek Mill to Bail on Donald Trump Visit
Jay-Z got into Meek Mill’s ear before the rapper made a hasty decision he would otherwise soon come to regret as Kanye before him. Meek Mill has been taking his newfound political responsibility very seriously lately, so seriously that he was considering meeting with Donald Trump to discuss prison reform.
Sensing nothing good coming from the meeting, Jay-Z called the Philly rapper to help persuade him not to sit down with the president. Jay-Z’s rationale and reasoning was that a visit to the White House would be bad for his image and for the cause Meek Mill has helped establish. Meek told TMZ:
“I was originally scheduled to be part of a panel on Prison Reform at the White House to help shed light on the issues within the system. Unfortunately, the focus turned to the President and Myself which concerned me that it might take away from creating a positive result from today’s discussions.”
Since Meek is fresh out and just starting to yield his political stance, it’s good that he’s surrounded by individuals with years under their belt to help guide him properly.
Meek Mill remains “Fully committed to improving our criminal justice system.” Well done Meek.
