The Italitan Automotive Giant Confirmed They are Working on Their First SUV.
Sergio Marchionne, CEO of Ferrari, accounced the Italian automotive giant will build an SUV for the first time. At the New York Stock Exchange this week, Marchionne discussed how the company took 30 months to study and look at production. He even said the new car might be called an “FUV,” or a “Ferrari Utility Vehicle.”
There is speculation that the new Ferrari will compare to Porsche’s introduction of the Cayenne, which is Porsche’s best-selling car to date. Competitors such as Lamborghini and Aston Martin are also working on luxury SUV’s. Furthermore the closest Ferrari has to an SUV today is the FF model. The brand is also looking into a way to keep the SUV model limited in production for their loyal fan base.
