After reports of SoundCloud only having enough funds to stay afloat for 50 more days made waves across the internet, Chance the Rapper left a tweet that brought hope to fans of the platform. According to Chance, he contacted SoundCloud founder Alex Ljung and described the conversation as “fruitful,” leaving fans excited for the future of the music platform.

SoundCloud stated that the conversation with the Chicago rapper went well, emphasizing that they won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.

The tweets dropped the same day Chance dropped a few hints that he would be willing to help the struggling music platform. Chance is one of the many independent artists who have SoundCloud to thank for their rise to fame, which is where his first two mixtapes, 10 Day and Acid Rap first found their way to the public.
Chance didn’t give any details regarding what happened during the call with Ljung or what kind of role he’ll play on keeping the platform afloat, we’ll keep you updated on any new developments.
