Lamborghini teased us with a preview of the latest Huracán (check the video above) and how it lapped the Nürburgring in under seven minutes (6:52 exactly), breaking the record previously held by Porsche’s 918 Spyder with its time of six minutes and 57 seconds. Now Lamborghini has officially revealed its beast and dubbed it the Huracán Performante, the new design comes with a host of upgrades, all of which we are sure has helped it achieve this incredible lap time. Molded carbon fiber is generously spread across the car down to the rear bumper and diffuser, relieving the car of about 90 pounds. Auto aerodynamics have also been added to the car both spoilers now have electrically-actuated flaps. Under the hood, a new V10 now churns out 640 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque and other small upgrades like stiffer springs, anti-roll bars, forged alloy wheels, and to top it all off Pirelli P Zero Corsas with option for Trofeo Rs tires, all these elements come together to help push the Performante from 0 to 62 mph in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 202 mph.
Performante deliveries are set to start later this summer with a hefty price tag of $274,390 USD.
