The Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” was Nike‘s biggest sneaker release of 2016, but what you may not know is that the shoe is also Nike’s biggest release ever — overthrowing the previously reigning king of releases the Air Jordan 11 Retro “72-10.” Nike’s Brand President Trevor Edwards announced in a statement that


“The Space Jam 11 was the largest and most successful shoe launch in the history of Nike,” confirming the hype surrounding the iconic shoe.”


This year, Nike and adidas have been pretty equal in sales in regards to  global sales, with exception in the US, where Nike earned $14.7 billion for the fiscal year, in comparison to adidas’s $3.6 billion in sales. In its third quarter 2017 fiscal review, NIKE grew almost 5% increase in revenues, putting the total value somewhere in the ballpark of $8.4 billion USD.
