Mick Jenkins Releases New Single “Spread Love” And Reveals Album Release Date

Mick Jenkins is back on the scene with some pretty exciting announcements for all you FREENATION fans out there. For starters he dropped his new super laid-back single “Spread Love,” produced by Sango. The record puts Mick’s rapping ability at the forefront, rapping over a great beat with not too much going on to take away from Mick’s message.

Mick also revealed the official release date for his upcoming sophomore LP  The Healing Component which is set to drop on Sept. 23, and will obviously feature “Spread Love” on its tracklist.

As if that wasn’t enough to keep you interested in what Jenkin’s has been working on, he also announced a 12-date U.S. tour with St. Louis emcee Smino. Mick’s Red Bull Sound Select Presents: A Quest for Love starts in Seattle on Sept. 29th. Here’s the best part though…Tickets right now are only $3.

“Just trying to see how much love is out there in the world in a time where we need it the most,” Mick said about the tour. “It’s so easy to hate, have a negative opinion. I want to actively talk about love- what it is, what it means to people, what it looks like and in just mere conversation that energy might be transferred. But with the music, that is precisely what we aim to do.”
