The Warriors announced today they will once again be without their leader and MVP Steph Curry due to a Grade 1 MCL sprain in his right knee. Curry will be re-evaluated in two weeks to determine if he will need more time to heal from his fall that caused the sprain in game 3 with the Houston Rockets.
The question that needs to be answered now is can the team move forward in the playoffs without arguably the best player in the NBA. The warriors are currently up 3-1 over a underachieving Rockets team. Its likely they will face the Los Angeles Clippers in the next round. The Clippers and Warriors have developed a heated rivalry over the past years and the match up between elite point guards Chris Paul and Step Curry is always exciting to see. The warriors have fared well this year without Steph and still have one of the deepest teams in the league. Still it looks like the warriors will have to win the next round without the MVP.
