Rap/R&B crossover duo XUITCASE CITY (or XCC for short; pronounced like “suitcase”) originate from Tampa Bay, Florida. The group consists of Cam Young, the rapper, and Mike Gomes, the singer. The duo’s name derives from the Tampa neighborhoods surrounding Interstate 275 and the University of South Florida. The troubled, crime-stricken area has been affectionately nicknamed “Suitcase City” due to its tendency to make people want to pack up and leave. Despite that, Young spent a good amount of time in the Suitcase City area.

But as we’ve seen time and time again in the music industry, pressure makes diamonds. And these two guys certainly have a good thing going with their new EP entitled “INDXGO”. A solid blend of dark Pop synths, classic Hip-hop swagger, and suave songwriting, INDXGO is sure to please fans of The Weeknd, Jeremih, and Bryson Tiller. Of the project XCC said, “The name INDXGO came from the thought that indigo is such an in-between color. People [aren’t always sure] if it’s blue or purple. Similar to the color, we both bring diversity in our sound and also in our image being a bi-racial duo.”

“XUITCASE CITY will be more than just music” they added. “This is also going to consist of videos and clothing as well that we plan to release this year.” Make sure you check out their latest project below, follow them on Twitter (@CamYoungMusic), and be on the lookout for their new releases in the future!
