Atlanta, Georgia based Joe Da Pro brings us his potent project Social Rehab. The project is a strong outing from Joe Da Pro which sees him delivering powerful bars while mixing it with ethereal, alternative sounds. From the first track, the Intro, it is apparent that this project is a smooth affair. The smooth smoking joints, Let Go and What Type do the perfect job of establishing Joe Da Pro’s clean delivery and cool demeanor. Tracks like Clouds and Full Speed allow Joe to really pour out his well composed thoughts and deliver them in a way that is sure to keep your attention. High Class is my favorite record on the project due to Joe Da Pro’s delivery and the fluid instrumental produced by Taz Taylor. The Canis Major produced Fly Zone and My Zone are two tracks that really allow listeners to get a feel for Joe Da Pro’s vibe. The final track, Damien Lillard is an ethereal track with awesome production. On the track, Joe Da Pro switches the flow up and shows a bravado similar to when Damien Lillard hit that game winner in the 2014 play-offs to send James Harden and the Houston Rockets home. You can check out the video to Damien Lillard below the project. Overall this project is definitely worth listening to…on repeat. Though he hails from Atlanta, Joe Da Pro does a great job of creatively combining the sounds of the south with sounds found more commonly in Alternative Hip Hop and even other genres.
